Currently, Madonna is on her eagerly awaited Celebration Tour, having bounced back from a severe bacterial infection that required hospitalization earlier this year.
Recent photos of the Like a Virgin star have received widespread acclaim from her devoted fans, as the 66-year-old continues to demonstrate that age is merely a number… and that she is far from finished making her mark in the music scene.
Fans had every reason to worry earlier this summer when Madonna was unexpectedly hospitalized.
The initial reports were concerning, but it quickly became clear that her health issue was more serious than initially believed.
The Queen of Pop was scheduled to kick off her much-anticipated Celebration Tour in Vancouver on July 15, which would have featured her greatest hits from 1983 to the present across 53 shows in North America and Europe. However, she had to postpone it after being rushed to the hospital due to a bacterial infection.
Early reports indicated that Madonna was found unresponsive on Saturday, June 24, and was subsequently taken to a hospital in New York City where she was intubated.
Shortly after, a family member of the Grammy-winning artist shared with Entertainment Tonight that her family had been “preparing for the worst” after the news broke. “For the past couple of days, no one really knew which way this was going to go, and her family was preparing for the worst,” they stated.
“That is why it was kept under wraps since Saturday,” they continued. “Everyone feared that we might lose her, and that was the reality of the situation.
Radar Online has disclosed that Madonna’s hospital stay was more serious than first believed – the medical team who attended to the unresponsive star at her home had to administer a NARCAN injection.
Thankfully, the singer was later discharged from the hospital and is now able to continue her recovery at home. Her previously mentioned Celebration Tour is currently in full swing, with the Vogue icon receiving widespread acclaim for her appearance after sharing a series of photos from her tour.
Reports indicate that the Paris, France segment of Madonna’s tour garnered special attention, with fans lavishing her with compliments. One fan even referred to her as “the most beautiful woman in the world.”
